This actually wasn't as hard as you may think. I know I have a weak spot for romances, but I am more well rounded than that. So I have actually read a lot of books without romance as a large part of it.
5. All the Light We Cannot See
This book was about the Second World War and two people on each side of the war, however they don't fall in love. They barely even knew each other. No outright romance in this one.
4. The Underneath
This is a book about animals so there is absolutely no romance here.
3. Fantastic Mr. Fox
This is a children's book about a fox and him defending his family during hard times. Honestly, there's really no point in adding romance into this because it's mostly for small children who most likely don't really care for any romance.
2. The Green Mile
The main character in this book is married and I do love his relationship with his wife, but that isn't even a subplot of this book. It's not the story of his relationship with his wife, it's a story about an innocent man getting the death penalty for something he didn't do.
1. Harry Potter
One of the central themes of this series is love, however romance doesn't actually play a huge part of this book. I mean, people are bound to fall in love in almost every book out there, but that doesn't mean that it's the main focus. Honestly, this is mainly the first three books before the trio start dating anyone because they are children.
What are some of your favourite books without romance?
