Top 10 Favourite Authors

10. Penelope Douglas

Her main characters are so badass and funny, her romances are so steamy, I love the love interests. I have yet to read a book by her that I didn't love. Oh my gods I've read her book corrupt like 20 times. It's so good.

9. Rick Riordan

I have a weakness for mythology of any kind, thank the gods, Rick Riordan supplies me with a steady supply, not only that, they are so amazing and I know many people can attest to that. I shouldn't even really have to explain this one. His writing is magical.

8. John Green

He always makes me laugh. John Green can write a book that will make me cry, like sobbing, ugly cry, then a page later I'm laughing so hard that I start crying again. He puts into words how it feels to be a teenager. To have all those shitty angsty, anxious feelings and having to deal with those. I love it.

7. Colleen Hoover

Romance queen. Her writing is so funny and endearing and sweet and there is always an unexpected twist. Her stories aren't stereotypes, they are perfectly unique and I have read almost all of her books. I still haven't read November 9. I have been putting it off for so long, I'm for some reason always nervous that I'm not going to like her new book, but then I finally read it and I think to myself, "Why did I wait so long to read this?"

6. Stephen King

Sometimes when I'm feeling overly violent I read Stephen King novels. Or when I'm in the need of a good mystery or horror. If you have never read a Stephen King book you are missing out on so much. He is so good at what he does, there is a reason that he is so popular.

5. Richelle Mead

Richelle Mead is an auto buy author, she just spits fire into all of her works that I have to read them. I always love her characters and plots and conflicts and everything she writes.

4. Sarah J. Maas

I swear she writes the best retellings. I mean she could write a retelling of Romeo and Juliet and I would probably love it. (I hate Romeo and Juliet) There is just something so captivating about her writing. I can't quite place it. When I figure it out I'll tell you but for now...

3. Jennifer L. Armentrout

By far she is my most owned author. I have the majority of her books either in hard copy or ebook form. I love her work so much. She always write such cute romances, and her main characters are so relatable and just spot on. Sometimes when I read one of her books, it's like I've logged onto tumblr, not in a bad way, in fact a very good way.

2. Cassandra Clare

I have been reading Cassandra Clare books for a very long time, I have read almost everything she has published. (I still haven't read Tales of Shadowhunter Academy). She has a way of bringing all this mythical creatures and people to life, I can never put down her books, I read until I'm done, it doesn't matter how big those books are. The day that City of Heavenly Fire came out, I admit it was a school day and I probably should have done homework or something, but instead I went straight to my room after picking up a copy. I read the book in 6 hours. I couldn't put it down.

1. J. K. Rowling

J. K. Rowling is the author that got me into reading. I mean I had read here and there before, but that was just because my teachers made me, for school and stuff. The moment I started Harry Potter it was like the beginning of the end. Actually before that I had thought that Harry Potter sounded stupid and never thought I would read it, but then all my friends started reading it and I had to be in on this secret. Then my one friend had started before me and I had made it my personal mission to finish the series before her. I was a highly competitive child, anyway I ended up finishing the series in one month, which was very good for me at the time. That one friend never even finished the series. Don't judge me, I just have an intense need to a) always be right and b) always win.

I'm once again getting off track. Anyway those are my top 10 favourite authors.

    1. Good luck with eh giveaway! Thank you for following. Also, Stephen king doesn't always write horror, he actually has some really good books that aren't horror. I would recommend the Green Mile. It's really good.
