Warm Bodies
By Issac Marion
Synopsis:
R is having a no-life crisis—he is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he is a little different from his fellow Dead. He may occasionally eat people, but he’d rather be riding abandoned airport escalators, listening to Sinatra in the cozy 747 he calls home, or collecting souvenirs from the ruins of civilization.
And then he meets a girl.
First as his captive, then his reluctant guest, Julie is a blast of living color in R’s gray landscape, and something inside him begins to bloom. He doesn't want to eat this girl—although she looks delicious—he wants to protect her. But their unlikely bond will cause ripples they can’t imagine, and their hopeless world won’t change without a fight.

My Thoughts:
This week I decided to talk about Warm Bodies. I have to be honest here and say I completely forgot this book existed. I remember when the movie came and everyone was obsessed with it. I liked it enough for the time, but honestly, wouldn't watch it now. I added the book to my list because I thought I wanted to read it, but with time and newfound wisdom, I realized I do not in fact find it that interesting. This book follows a zombie main character as he finds love. I don't know about you, but the idea of having a love interest who is rotting kind of killed the vibe. It's gross. I'm not into necrophilia. I get it's supposed to be a comedy, but from watching the movie I know I'm just not invested enough in their story to ever read the book.
