Top 10 Classics I Want to Read

Classics are always the books I want to read the most, but they end up being the books that I rarely ever read. It's sad, but true. Anyway, here is a list of the top 10 classics I want to read. Trust me, it was hard narrowing it down. I didn't include ones I'm currently reading either.

10. The Lovely Bones

I was recently talking to this girl that I just befriended and she told me that this was her favourite book of all time. Now it had been on my radar for a while, but this put it over the edge. I really do want to read it now.

9. Don Quixote

I've heard people say that this was the best book of all time. I really want to read it now. As a lover of books I have to read the best book of all time. It's not even a question at this point.

8. Les Miserables

This one may take longer than the others to complete. My life's goal is to read this book in French. I'm learning French and have been for years, but I don't think I'm quite there yet, so I still need time. But in a few years time if I still don't think that my French is good enough I'll give in and just read it in English. Le sigh.

7. The Shadow of the Wind

Okay so this one was published in 2001, but I'm gonna count it s a modern classic. It just sounds so cool and everyone seems to love it. I need it.

6. Lord of the Rings

I know! I still haven't read the Lord of the Rings! I don't think I need to even explain why I need to read this one.

5. Gone With the Wind

I don't even really know what this one's about. Just that the main character is feisty and there is an amazing romance. Everyone loves it for a reason and I need to know why.

4. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

It's just something I feel like everyone's heard of. It just feels silly to me that I haven't read it.

3. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

The king of mystery. I need this in my life. I love mystery and I love Sherlock Holmes.

2. The Time Traveler's Wife

I don't really understand the synopsis, but I feel like that's just because you have to actually read the book to understand it completely. I mean there's the book and there's a movie adaption and I want to be in on this secret.

1. Heart of Darkness

I originally found out about this book because my favourite episode of the Vampire Diaries was titled this. I remembered the title because I saw it and thought to myself "Same." So then I later found out that the book actually sounded really great.

Which classics do you guys really want to read?
